6 Detox Water Recipes for Glowing Skin

Drinking more water is one of the best things we can all do for our bodies. It’s an easy way to improve concentration, short-term memory, and alertness for the brain and during times of physical performance, adequate water consumption helps replenish fluids lost while sweating. It also supports kidney function, which flushes toxins from the body, prevents constipation, and delivers oxygen throughout the body.  
Dehydration can not only lead to a number of health issues, but it can also wreak havoc on the skin by causing it to dry and flake. In addition to a proper skincare routine, diet and proper hydration can detoxify the skin and help you achieve a glowing complexion! Detoxification helps eliminate toxins and impurities that manifest on the skin, resulting in acne, dry spots, dullness, and even fine lines and wrinkles.  
By adding more water and critical nutrients to your diet, you can provide several benefits to the skin and your overall health. Detox water is a great way to get all the necessary nutrients required for clear skin - it also helps flush toxins, keeps the cells hydrated, and even boosts skin-boosting collagen.  
To help you with your journey, we’re sharing our six favorite detox water recipes! With just a few ingredients, you can have your own skin-loving elixirs to finally achieve that flawless skin you’ve always dreamed of.  
Lemon, Ginger, Mint 
This recipe is a standard detox water that many people are familiar with. It helps with hydration while also supporting weight loss and giving a great dose of immune-boosting Vitamin C! 
Combine the following ingredients into a large container and let sit for at least 1 hour before enjoying.  

  • 124 oz of spring or filtered water 
  • 4 lemons, sliced  
  • 20 sprigs of mint, washed  
  • 2 inches of fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced 

Spicy Strawberry Lemonade  
This is a healthy take on the classic strawberry lemonade. It’s sugar-free, refreshing, detoxifying, and is an excellent source of antioxidants and minerals.  
Combine the following ingredients into a blender until smooth.  

  • 24 ounces of spring or filtered water 
  • ½ cup strawberries, frozen 
  • ½ lemon, juiced  
  • ½ inch of fresh ginger root, peeled and grated  
  • Dash of cayenne pepper 

Apple Cider Turmeric  
Turmeric is a strong antioxidant that has potent anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Combined with apple cider vinegar, which is known for its incredible detoxification, this drink can do wonders for your most challenging skin problems.  
Combine the following ingredients into your favorite mug.  

  • 12 oz of hot spring or filtered water 
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, with “the mother” 
  • ½ lemon, juiced  
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric 
  • Dash of cayenne pepper 
  • 1 teaspoon of agave nectar (optional) 

Blueberry Orange  
This tasty drink is a perfect alternative to sugary juices and sodas. Packed with antioxidants and other skin-loving nutrients, you’ll love this infused water.  
Combine the following ingredients into a large container and let sit for at least 2 hours before enjoying. For a more robust flavor, you’ll want to muddle the fruit slightly before adding in the water.  

  • 40 oz of spring or filtered water  
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced  
  • 1 pint of blueberries, rinsed  

Lemon, Lime, Cucumber 
This delicious combination can help support kidney function, reduce bloating, and of course, support skin health. Its mild flavor also makes it a great option for the whole family.  
Combine the following ingredients into a large container and let sit for at least 30 minutes before enjoying. 

  • 32 oz of spring or filtered water  
  • 2 lemons, sliced  
  • 1 lime, sliced  
  • 1 cucumber, sliced  

Red Antioxidant Booster  
This mixture is a heavy hitter when it comes to essential vitamins and antioxidants - ideal for a perfect complexion and soothing inflamed skin.  
Combine the following ingredients into a glass and lightly muddle them together.  

  • 16 oz pf spring or filtered water  
  • ¼ cup of raspberries, rinsed 
  • 3 - 4 tablespoons of pomegranate seeds  
  • 3 strawberries, rinsed and sliced
